GLOUCESTER SUPPORT LIVING FAQS
Everything you need to know about supported living
What is the difference between supported living and assisted living?
Supported living and assisted living both offer support to individuals needing help with daily living, but they differ in the level of care and the environment that is offered. Assisted living generally consists of 24/7 staff supervision and care within a facility. However, supported living provides more tailored support, often cetred around a person's own home or a more independent living arrangement.
How do I get funding for supported living in Gloucestershire?
Most individuals receive funding from their local authority to cover their community or building-based support. In most cases, the funding authority will complete an assessment and identify its specific needs.
How much does supported living cost in the UK?
Support people receive for their living fees varies widely across the country, factors like location, the level of care required, and whether the individual is self-funding or receiving local authority support. Generally, an individual can expect to pay anywhere from £500 to £1500 per week for supported living, with variations based on assessed individual needs and the specific service provider in question.
